Activities in Maria Alm
Maria Alm, at 802m above sea level, lies in the green, pure and natural landscape of the Steinernen Meer (stone sea).
With a population of 2200 people, Maria Alm is the traditional centre of the local community. With the Church spire of 76m high, makes it the highest spire in the whole of Salzburgerland and the landmark of the village
The two nearby mountain villages, Hintermoos and Hinterthal which both belong to Maria Alm, lie between the Steinernen Meer and the Dientener Grasberge (grass mountains). At 2.117m, the Hundstein is the highest grassmountain in Europe.
In both winter and summer, Maria Alm has a lot to offer, here is a small selection of possible activities:
